AN ADVENTURE WITH SAFETY – FREERIDE INFO POINT
Freeriding takes place away from the slopes and comes with its own natural dangers. You have to take into consideration such things as avalanche alert levels, exposure, slope gradient, snow cover, and emergency equipment. In classic ski areas, information for freeriders is in short supply. Not so in the Hochkönig ski region.
Find out about the most popular freeride routes on the mountain and the up-to-date avalanche risk at the freeride info point at the summit station of the Aberg gondola. With the help of the built-in avalanche beacon checker, you can make sure that your avalanche transceiver is working. Safety is thus guaranteed while you are out and about.
In the bike park you can test your skills in the trail park and dirt park on an area of approx. 10,000 m². In the trail park, the bike takes you over natural obstacles such as roots, balance elements, curves and waves. In the dirt park there are 3 lines equipped with tables and a seesaw.
