Ski amadé from A to Z

From the terrace, the view of the Steinerne Meer with the Hochkönig is a feast for the eyes. At only 950 m above sea level, we offer hikers and cyclists a snack, warm home cooking and home-made pastries in summer. In the winter, we offer hearty and regional mountain food for lunch and dinner. Parking available, directly at the hut.

Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 6th to 13th March, 2027

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 6 to 13, 2027, we offer our guests at the Wiesenstadl some special highlights. 

For the last forty years our company has been a well respected and successful family Taxi and excursion business for Maria Alm and the neighbouring town of Saalfelden. Our ever popular and experienced chauffeurs will take you in comfort and safety to the most beautiful excursion destinations in Austria, Bavaria and northern Italy. Our trips are bound to make your vacation anunforgetable experience !

In St. Johann in Salzburg there are two well-groomed trails at your disposal.

• Plankenau Loipe: 6.2 kms (intermediate)
• Alpendorf Loipe: 4 kms (intermediate)

You can find a third cross country trail on the mountain, directly situated next to the top station of the Alpendorf gondola (2,2 km - intermediate)

Our highly qualified and well trained staff are there for you in our shop. However, we go one step further and offer you the opportunity to try before you buy – at no extra charge. And when you are 100% sure that a particular pair of skis is the one for you, we will be delighted to sell them to you.

Tobogganing is great fun for all ages.

The Kleinbergalm can be reached on foot from the centre of the village or on the Grossberg chairlift. The alpine hut and the toboggan run are very popular – in the evenings too.

The Dachstein seems close enough to touch! The Kessleralm is the only hut right in the heart of the Planai (valley station Lärchkogel middle station cable car), all large slopes lead to the hut, it is therefore ideal as a meeting point. We pamper you with a comprehensive, home-style cuisine as well as homemade pastries every day. Relax, soak up the sun or flirt with après-ski at the beautiful umbrella bar: the central point of contact on the Planai! Accessible at any time by car or taxi.

Sport shop only in winter

There are three lighted lanes. Our snow cannon ensures that the Railways are in top condition. At the "Rösteralm" there are snowtubes to borrow.
