The zipline on the Stoderzinken is the largest of its kind in Europe. The new zipline flies from 1,600 metres above sea level to the Gröbming Adventure Park at 900 metres. The principle of a ZipLine is simple: you and your friends glide down from the mountain into the valley on 4 parallel wire ropes without any intermediate supports. On the Stoderzinken, you can reach speeds of up to 115 km/h while flying over the treetops. This is a real test of courage, especially for adults.

The toboggan is one of the oldest pieces of winter sports equipment in the Alps – quite simply, it’s a classic. To this day, it remains a source of infinite enjoyment for young and old alike, with countless natural and man-made runs throughout Salzburg’s many valleys.

Start: Hahnbaumalm Restaurant (altitude approx. 1.100m)
Finish: city center of Sankt Johann (altitude approx. 650m)

Easy access to the start via the Hahnbaum double chair lift. The chair is open until 4pm, later ascents possible by taxi (approx. €35.00 one way for up to 8 pax, tariff will vary according to the meter).

Our rental shop in Sportgastein is located directly in the valley station of the Goldbergbahn. In addition to skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing equipment, we also rent out snowshoes, avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes.

We also offer a small selection of gloves, skis and sunglasses in the shop.

The name of the region is written in capital letters on a wooden structure on the Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein. The approximately 3-metre-high lettering not only serves as an eye-catcher and photo opportunity, but also as a place to sit on the mountain. In addition to the magnificent view, you can also capture your mountain experience without taking a selfie.

In the SternAlm you will be served in the best and friendly way. We rely on modern, home-style cuisine. It combines Austrian classics with current tastes. Regional suppliers, no finished products and real seasonality ensure your culinary #sternmoment.

Highlight of the SternAlm: the panorama winter garden with a view over the Salzach Valley – from the Kitzsteinhorn over the majestic Hochkönig to the Tennengebirge! How about an Aperol at sunset? A wonderful experience.
